Once again it is the time of the year to show just how good a wine maker you really are. Our 12th Annual Amateur Wine making Competition was a great evening for all who participated and we are hoping for another great turnout for our 13th Annual Amateur Wine making Competition on 2012
OFFICIAL RULES
1. All wine entries must be in 750ml bottles sealed with corks or screw caps. For Dessert & Grappa Categories 375ml bottles are accepted.
All entries will consist of 2 bottles of wine labeled with the same form provided. Entries for Category 6 only require ONE bottle. Please attach the form to the bottle with a rubber band or masking tape. All entries should be free of any other markings, labels or capsules. All entries must be submitted no later than Monday January 16, 2012. Entries may be mailed or dropped off at Wine making Center

2. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category. Also, the wine maker whose wine is the most outstanding in all categories will win Best of Show and be awarded the Amateur Wine maker of the Year Award. As well as a 4 day / 3 night trip for two to Napa Valley, California complete with airfare, hotel and wine tours.
3. Judging will begin earlier in the week. The reception is limited so if you wish to attend please enter early. Awards will be given out at the end of the night. You do not need to be present to win. A complete list of winners will be posted at following the competition.
4. Entry Fees - There is a $12 fee for each wine entered into the competition. If you wish to attend the reception, it is
$100.00 per person. Ten or more $90.00 per person. Please enclose fees with your pre-registration form.

5. Any wine entry that won an award in a prior year’s competition is NOT eligible to compete in this year’s competition.
6. Any wines made at a wine school or with the help of a professional are also not eligible for entry.
7. Medals awarded for entries in Category 6 Grappa/Distilled Spirits are not eligible to be factored into Best In Show calculations.
8. Original Wine Label Entries: All label entries must be an original design. You will be judged on design,
creativity and visual appeal. Each label must be submitted on an EMPTY wine bottle. Please include label
entries on the entry form provided below, specifying category 7. Year, varietal and designation will be left blank
for category 7 entries.
