고장난  화장실 변기탱크 고치는 방법

After a while your toilet tank may start leaking from the center bottom of the tank. This is due to the rubber gasket that seals the tank to the toilet bowl becomes brittle and cracks. This leads to water to start dripping from the gasket seal which is now broken. Replacing the gasket will fix this problem.

1. Turn the water off to the tank. The shut-off valve is usually located on the bottom left side of the tank. If there is no shut-off valve, then shut off your water main.

2. Flush your toilet and hold down the flush valve to get as much water as possible out of the tank. Soak up remaining water with a rag or sponge.

3. Disconnect the cold water tube going into the tank, using channel lock pliers.

4. Remove the two long bolts that hold down the tank to the toilet bowl. Carefully pull up the tank and lay it on its side.

5. Remove the old rubber gasket and clean the surface of the tank and toilet where the new gasket will form a seal.

6. Apply gasket sealant to the side of the new gasket that you're going to insert into the tank; wipe off any excess sealant.

7. Apply gasket sealant around the gasket that you're now going to insert into the toilet bowl.

8. Insert the new rubber washers, for your bolts, into the tank. Make sure they are seating firmly in the tank. Now insert the two bolts with washers into the inside of the tank and secure them in place with washers and nuts.

9. Place tank on bowl and secure each bolt with a washer and nut. Tighten each nut one at a time until both are evenly tighten to the bowl.

10. Connect the cold water line back to the tank and tighten with channel lock pliers. Turn water back on and check for leaks.
