케터링 서비스 어떻게 이용하나

Planning a big event requires organization and attention to details. A big event can be for a personal family reason or a business or company event. Hiring an event caterer must be on the top of your to-do list to pull off a successful event. An event caterer with experience on your side will save you a great deal of time and stress.

Start Early

An event-catering service with a good reputation and excellent food will be booked well into the future. As soon as you know you will need an event caterer, begin making a list of the caterers in the area so that you can start making appointments to meet and discuss your event. Some caterers will require a full year's notice to use their services. If you do not have that kind of time, you should make a list of as many caterers in the area as possible to find the one that can handle your event.

Include New and Small

The biggest and oldest caterer in town is not necessarily the best. Take the time to search for some of the newer caterers and the smaller companies for your event. The smaller and newer companies are sometimes willing to go the extra mile for your business and might be able to give you a great deal and outstanding service that you just will not find with the larger companies. Smaller caterers tend to make their food from scratch as well and never use canned or frozen foods. A newer caterer is interested in building a good reputation, so it will be more interested in giving you the best possible service and food.

Visit in Person

Calling the caterer on the phone is fine to set up an appointment and to get an estimate on price. You will have to visit with the caterer to sample the food and discuss the particulars of your event. Visiting with the caterer will also give you a chance to gauge the type of service you will get for your event. You may have to visit with several caterers before you decide on the one that will handle your event within your budget and on the date that you need.

Budget and Payment

Understate the budget slightly to give you enough room to make changes to the menu and cover additional costs. An estimate from the caterer is usually not the final price. It will most likely cost you a little more than the original estimate. Most caterers will also require you to pay 50 percent up front before the event and the final payment within a few weeks of your event. Cancel as far in advance as possible. If you wait until 30 days before the event, you will likely not get your money back. If a cancellation is necessary, the sooner you can let the caterer know, the more money from the initial deposit you will get back.
Details about cancellation policies will be included in your contract with the caterer. Read these over carefully before you sign the contract.
