본문



시카고 아트 인스티튜트 대학과 대학원에서 조각과 회화를 전공하고
미네소타 주립대학 교수를 역임했다

시카고에서 야외 조각품인 전자불꽃놀이를 세계박물관에 설치한 것을 비롯,
미국과 한국의 공공장소에 많이 소장됐거나 설치되어 있다.

미국에는 워싱턴 맥도널드 본사, 텍사스 코네라마 광장,
메릴랜드주 시의장 예술문화 아트 스케이프 실내,
일리노이주 예술 국제 심포지움 야외 등지에 설치됐고,

국립현대미술관, 전자랜드, 계몽문화센터, 삼익문화센터, 과천 코오롱 본사,
서울시립현대박물관, 부산시립박물관 등지에 작품이 설치되어 있다.

그 동안 미네소타 미술박물관, 트위드 미술박물관, 시카고 현대미술 박물관 등을 비롯한
주요 미술관을 비롯한 30여 회의 전시회를 통해
미 주류사회에서 많이 알려져 있다.
 
학자예술인 그림 콘테스트 최고상, 위볼트 예술 콘테스트 금상, 일리노이주 프로젝트 상 수상,
홀브라이트 해외 대학강의 및 특별연구상 등을 수상했다
.
